Web Cal Plus has the ability to create Jewish calendars for your
synagogue or other Jewish organization. Sunset times, Shabbat candle
lighting and Havdalah times are calculated based on your city or
latitude/longitude location and displayed on your calendar. Additionally
the Hebrew month/day/year is overlaid on top of your standard western Gregorian
calendar.
The Hebrew month names - Nisan, Iyar, Sivan, Tammuz, Av, Elul,
Tishri, Heshvan, Kislev, Tevet, Shevat, Adar and Adar 2 can all be modified to
suite your particular spelling or language conventions.
Candle lighting times for Shabbat observation on Friday is based on
your lat/long location and can be set for 18 plus or minus minutes before
sunset.
Havdalah times are set for 45 plus or minus minutes after sunset on
Saturday. The number of minutes can be adjusted and of course this time
is based on your location.
If you don't know your latitude/longitude location we provide a handy
database of cities with latitude/longitude readings.
We have many synagogues using Web Cal Plus to create and maintain
their calendars. Here are a few actual calendars in use:
